Various programmes are being organised for the National Cadet Corps (NCC) attending the ongoing Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC-29) at Sazolie College, Jotsoma organised by 1 Nagaland Girls Battalion NCC, Kohima under the aegis of NCC Group HQ.
A lecture and demonstration on disaster management was conducted by A.K. Prem Kumar, Inspector, Comapay Commander, Home Guards, Civil Defence and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) Kohima and D. Angami along with SDRF team on June 28.
The team emphasized on the importance of executing evacuation, rescue and firefighting as a primary protective action regardless of threat or hazard. Besides, a weapon display was conducted at the camp by 1st Lushai Hills Assam Rifles, Kohima.
Earlier, a lecture on food, health and nutrition and the importance of millets was conducted on June 27 by Bethel Medical Centre, Kohima, consultant, obstetrics and gynaecology, Dr. Thejasenuo Zumu. She also spoke on menstruation hygiene mainly for the girl cadets.
A career counselling programme was also conducted on June 26 by a team of Emporium Skills Training Institute, Dimapur led by CEO and founder, Temjenkala Aier; Operational Head, India and International, Anirban Mukherjee; International Placement Executive and Aviation Trainer, Allen Awomi and Business Development Executive and Hospitality Trainer, Imsu Meren.
The presentation included an introduction of the Emporium Institute by Temjenkala while Anirban Mukherjee elaborated on career options, eligibility and benefits in aviation, hospitality and cruise industries. A mock interview was also conducted, after the talk for both ex-cadets and present cadets.
