NCC CATC-109 concludes at Sainik School Punglwa

DIMAPUR

Nagaland (NL) Independent (I) Sainik School Company NCC organized its 109 Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC-109) for the training year 2025-26 from October 6 to 15 at Sainik School Punglwa.
During the ten days’ camp, the cadets were imparted basic knowledge of weapon training, weapon display, firing, disaster management, tent pitching, firefighting, skill development, cyber security, prevention of HIV and AIDS, first aid. Conduct of drill, volleyball, basketball, tug of war and cultural programme competition were the other highlights of the camp.
A total of 168 cadets participated including 95 from Junior Division/Junior Wing (JD/JW)– Army and 73 from Senior Division/Senior Wing (SD/SW) – Army. Two associate NCC officers, one care taker officer along with permanent NCC instructors from Sainik School Punglwa, two instructors from 1 Air Sqn NCC Dimapur and from 2 instructors from Assam Rifles were part of this prestigious camp. The entire strength was divided into Alpha, Bravo and Charlie companies. The camp provided the cadets invaluable military training, life skills and sense of discipline and camaraderie.
The camp closing ceremony along with prize distribution was graced by Principal Sainik School Punglwa, Col (Dr) Smita Misra, in which the cadets put up impressive cultural bonanza.
The overall Best Trophy was bagged by Bravo (B) Coy. Speaking on the occasion, principal commended the enthusiastic participation of the cadets in all the activities and congratulated the efforts of complete NCC staff for their commendable and valuable contributions for overall development of NCC cadets and successful conduct of this camp.
