The Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC-102) of NCC, conducted by1 Nagaland NCC Girls Battalion, Kohima, culminated on December 20, at Greenwood School, Dimapur. PRO & Spokesperson, Ministry of Defence, Manipur, Nagaland and Southern Arunachal Pradesh informed that the camp was attended by over 550 cadets, of Senior and Junior Divisions, from the affiliated institutions across the state. During the course of the 10-day camp, the cadets were trained and tested in various military subjects and were groomed to have a good bearing and discipline in life.
A large number of guest lectures by experts in respective fields were organised, on various contemporary subjects of interest including SSB Selection Procedure, New Recruitment Policy of Indian Army, Cyber Security, Health, Hygiene and Nutrition. Military Equipment display and handling followed by mesmerizing Band Display were the most cherished activities of the camp. The State Disaster Relief Force conducted a Firefighting and Disaster Management lecture and demonstration during the conduct of the camp.
The cadets also underwent numerous tests in small arm firing, tent pitching, extempore elocution, drill and other military subject as per the curriculum. A large number of sporting events were also conducted where the cadets showcased their talent and sportsmanship. At the end of the camp a cultural event was organised where the cadets displayed their skills showcasing the rich and diverse culture of Nagaland.
