Naga Council Dimapur (NCD) president has appointed a five-member ‘search/selection commission’ for appointment of Naga Council office bearers for the tenure 2020-2024.
In a press note, NCD president T. Bangerloba and general secretary Thsapongkyu Sangtam said that the appointment was approved during the councillor annual general meeting (AGM) held on July 4, as per Article 10 clause 2 & 3 of Council constitution
In this regard, the ‘selection commission’ has been authorized to exercise full power as per constitution under Article No. 8 of Naga Council Dimapur, and the decision will considered legally final and binding, NCD stated.
The team will be headed by T.L Merry (from CNTC zone) as chairman of the commission, Joyous Shingnaisui (Tenyime zone) as member secretary and members Munthin Newmai (Southern Naga Zone), K.V. John (ENPO zone) and NCD president as ex-officio member.
