NCD bars burial at old Naga cemetery

Naga Council Dimapur (NCD) has prohibited burials at old Naga cemetery, Lake View, Khermahal colony due to space constraints and informed that all burials would take place at new Naga cemetery, Zani village with effect from February 15.

In a press release, NCD vice president (adm) Etsungmomo Kikon NCD said it had during the general meeting on January 27, 2021 resolved to open the new Naga cemetery for public as the construction work was completed. Earlier, the new Naga cemetery was opened only for the burial of COVID cases as the area was under construction.  

NCD has requested all to abide and maintain the rules the regulations laid down for uniform burial and construction of tomb.
