NCD & PAC meets DC Dimapur

Naga Council Dimapur (NCD) and the Public Action Committee (PAC) organized a civic reception and a coordination meeting with Dimapur’s new Deputy Commissioner, Kevekha Kevin Zehol on January 21 at the Naga Council office in Dimapur.

According to DIPR, addressing the gathering, Kevekha expressed his gratitude to the Naga Council for their gesture in welcoming him and asserted that the working relationship between the administration and the Naga Council would continue for the welfare of the people. Calling upon the Naga council members to be examples for the younger generation, Kevekha lauded retired senior government officials for responding to the calls of serving society by being a part of the NCD. Naga Council president, Bangerloba Jamir, stated that Naga Council was created in 1949 to bring about peace and harmony, and he sought the administration’s cooperation as they continue to work for Naga society.
PAC convenor, Vekhosayi, while calling peace and tranquillity the most important components for a society to grow, reaffirmed that the PAC would continue to work for justice. He also promised to extend the committee’s best cooperation to the district administration. The Naga Women Hoho president, GB Union president, Dimapur Urban Council also spoke in the meeting and extended their cooperation.
