NCD supports auto fare cut; launches official website

Naga Council Dimapur (NCD) has resolved to support the decision of the district administration headed by the Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur, to slash autorickshaw fare while it also appealed to the concerned authority not to yield to pressure to ‘serve serving union operating under selfish interest.’
The decision to support the district administration was made during its last annual meeting of NCD 2010-15 tenure held on February 14. NCD strongly felt that auto drivers/ owners cannot hold Dimapur district to ransom adding licenses of those autos not complying with the new fares should be cancelled.
“Dimapurians should be prepared to face any eventuality and should not be cowed down by threats of strike,” a press release issued by NCD general secretary Ntsemo Ngullie said.
NCD president T Bangerloba has officially launched its website www.nagacouncildimapur.org on the same day. The website has being introduced with the intention to update everyone about NCD  activities, it’s composition,  background, aims and objectives .The website  aims to serve a common platform for  projecting constructive initiatives for general public welfare, justice and harmony. It also aims to preserve important past events for future generations.
The website launching was followed by Council’s annual general meeting wherein presentation of general secretary report and audit report to the House was done and approved.
New councillors list for the tenure 2015-2020 were announced and endorsed by the house. Councillors namely Chingko Phom, T Pongo, Daipao and Supong Chang were felicitated for their continuous service of twenty years.
