Naga Council Dimapur (NCD) vice president (Admn) Holuto Aye passed away on June 19. He was 72.
According to family sources, the funeral service will be held on June 20 at 9 a.m. at H/No. 71, Sumi Khel, Notun Bosti, Dimapur. He was also the former chairman of Sumi Khel, Notun Bosti.

Dimapur Sumi Council (DSC) has expressed pain and shock at the passing away of NCD vice-president and its bonafide member Holuto Aye after a brief illness.
In a statement, DSC president Shikuto Yeptho and information & publicity secretary V Tokuto Zhimomi described Aye as a dedicated and energetic social worker who worked tirelessly for the Sumi community as well as for the Nagas. They condoled his demise and prayed that God comfort his wife, children and relatives in this hour of bereavement.
JCF: Joint Council Forum (JCF) has mourned the passing of Holuto Aye, vice president of Naga Council Dimapur (NCD), terming it a profound loss not only to his family and community but to the entire Dimapur society.
JCF described Aye as a leader whose life reflected dedication, dignity, and a steadfast commitment to the collective good. The forum said that through decades of public service, he became a trusted voice and guiding presence, always standing for fairness, unity, and social harmony.
It added that his role in shaping the welfare and progress of society were significant, and his absence would be deeply felt across communities. JCF said Aye was a leader known for his humility, clarity of thought, and unwavering resolve during challenging times.
JCF extended its heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayed that they would find strength and solace in the enduring legacy left behind by a man who served selflessly and led with wisdom. The forum also prayed that his soul rest in eternal peace, and his contributions continue to inspire and guide all.
Ward 21 WC: The convener and all members of Ward 21 Welfare Committee, Dimapur expressed deep pain and heartfelt condolences on the passing away of Aye, who was also former chairman of Sumi Khel, Notun Bosti.
In a condolence issues through its secretary Omega G. Naga, the committee described Aye as a man of exceptional integrity, wisdom and compassion, they said he dedicated his life to the service of the people, consistently upholding the values of unity, progress and communal harmony.
As NCD vice-president and in his many other roles, the committee said that he worked tirelessly to uplift the welfare of not just his immediate community, but of Dimapur at large. They recalled his leadership was marked by humility, vision and a genuine concern for the well-being of others.
In his passing away, they said they had lost a fatherly figure, a voice of reason and a pillar of strength in our society. According to them, his guidance and unwavering commitment to public service had inspired many, with his absence leaving a void that would be difficult to fill.
Extending their deepest sympathies to the bereaved family and loved ones and prayed that God grant them strength, peace and comfort and for the soul to rest in eternal peace.
