NCM enthrals international audience at Taj Palace

After a successful performance at the Central Park, Cannaught Place, New Delhi on October 2 at the Rashtriya Sanskriti Mahotosav organized by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, Nagaland Conservatory of Music (NCM) was again invited to perform at the “Global Conference on Cooperation in Enforcement Matters” at Taj Palace, New Delhi, organized by Directorate of Revenue Intelligence, Ministry of Finance.


The concert was attended by head of enforcement departments of the country, together with their international counterparts from over 70 countries. NCM performed a wide repertoire of patriotic songs, Bollywood arrangements, contemporary pop, western classical and Naga folk arrangements.


It may be mentioned that Nagaland Conservatory of Music was established in the year 2012 in Dimapur, with an aim to prepare students as musicians, scholars, teachers, and to provide the community with performance, scholarship, and education.


In the last 10 years of its existence, NCM has successfully provided specialized music education and professional training at the highest international level, enabling students to develop musical skills, knowledge, understanding and resourcefulness which have enabled many to contribute significantly to the musical life in the country and internationally.


Many musicians and artistes from within the country, besides musicians from Germany, Philippines, Korea, and France have taken residency at NCM to progress their professional career while contributing tremendously to the local community.


NCM has represented India in Norway, Belgium, Italy, Spain, and Ireland and continues to render acclaimed performances in the country.
