The Nagaland College of Music and Fine Arts (NCMFA), Kohima, organised an Alumni Concert at the college premises on August 2 as part of its 10th anniversary celebrations.
MLA Dr. Tseilhoutuo Rhütso attended the event as the special guest, while NCMFA Board member and NBCC Youth Secretary, Rev. Suhoto Chishi, offered the opening prayer.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Rhütso highlighted the transformative power of music and its significance in both individual lives and society. He encouraged the institution to continue creating platforms for aspiring musicians to showcase their talents and promote music through larger performance-oriented events.
The concert commemorated a decade since the establishment of NCMFA in 2016 and featured performances exclusively by the college’s alumni.
The evening showcased a blend of past and contemporary musical pieces, reflecting the artistic growth and accomplishments of the alumni.
Several performers also presented original compositions, demonstrating their creativity and adding depth to the programme.
