NCRC Churches to fast and pray for peace in Manipur

Nagaland Christian Revival Church Council (NCRC) has appealed to all the NCRC churches in Nagaland to fast and pray for the restoration of peace in Manipur on August 6, 2023.

In an appeal, NCRC president Rev. Vangpong Phom and general secretary Rev. Kiyezhe Sumi requested all the tribal executive secretaries and chairmen to initiate and organize the prayer programme effectively under their respective Councils and churches.

NCRC has urged its churches to pray for the protection of people and restoration of peace in Manipur soon. Churches have also been asked to pray for cessation of violence in the name of religion and respond to the cry and aspiration of the people. NCRC further asked the Churches to pray for the authorities to take measures to protect all people irrespective of religion, tribe, cast and creed.

It has also asked the Churches to pray for the leaders in both the communities to come together and reconcile each other and bring lasting peace. Besides, NCRC has informed its members to pray for All Manipur Christian Organization (AMCO) and Manipur Christian Forum (MCF) to wisely and tactically workout towards the peace in Manipur.
