NCSU demands end to table tender

Nagaland Contractors’ & Suppliers’ Union (NCSU) has reiterated its demand for an end to table tender, saying it was a total violation of government standing order. In a press release, NCSU president, Pele Khezhie, and general secretary, John Kath, cautioned all the departments to strictly follow government standing order by inviting open tender in all contract and supply works to avoid legal action. On the other hand, the union has welcomed chief minister’s assurance to float open tender for construction and renovation of all district and sub-division HQ roads in Nagaland.  NCSU also strongly supported state government’s proposal to scrutinize contractors while allotting works. Meanwhile, the union has directed all its district units to mobilise evolution duty in their respective district and report the information to head office.
