In preparation for the forthcoming Lok Sabha election, the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) 2 Dimapur II A/C convened a consultative meeting at the residence of advisor Labour, Employment & Skill Development, and Excise, Moatoshi Longkumer, on Monday.
Addressing a gathering of party workers and leaders, Moatoshi, extended gratitude for the unwavering support received during the Nagaland Legislative Assembly election, and emphasized the importance of replicating the same confidence for the PDA consensus candidate, Dr Chumben Murry, for the forth coming Lok Sabha election.
He stressed the need for diligent efforts to fulfill the mandate bestowed by the Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio, to win the election by a huge margin.
Longkumer further expressed firm belief in the victory of Dr. Murry, terming it as a “foregone conclusion”.
He regarded Dr Murry as a capable, meticulous, and intelligent leader, mentioning that he was the right candidate to represent Nagas.
Dwelling on the constituency, Longkumer emphasized the importance of securing a substantial margin of votes under 2 Dimapur II A/C.
He expressed hope that the enthusiastic support of seasoned party workers rallying behind him would lead to secure huge margin of votes.
He also urged party members to bolster each other’s morale and adhere to principle conduct while coordinating efforts.
Meanwhile, delivering a short speech, president, NDPP, Dimapur Region, Vihoshe Awomi, stressed on the significance of adhering to party principles and vision amidst the electoral fervor.
He reminded attendees not to overlook their responsibilities during elections and underscored the party’s aim to secure the highest possible votes.
Awomi also urged party workers to step out of their comfort zones and actively encourage voter participation, emphasizing the inevitability of the return of BJP led government in the centre.
He claimed that the Congress party, both nationally and in the state, would cease to exist.
Also delivering a short speech, president, Women Organization, Dimapur Region, NDPP, Asangla Imli, also addressed the gathering on strategies to maximize votes for the PDA Consensus candidate, Dr. Chumben Murry.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by president, NDPP 2 Dimapur II A/C, Limawati Imchen, invocation by working president, Women Organization, NDPP 2 Dimapur II A/C, Chanbeni Patton, and vote of thanks by vice president, NDPP, 2 Dimapur II A/C, Rukusuto Ltu.
