NDPP accuses govt. servant of campaigning

NDPP 7 Peren A/C has accused an official of the Urban Development department of canvassing for a candidate of the constituency by “alluring the innocent public voters with government schemes.”
A complaint to the Chief Election Officer (CEO) from NDPP 7 Peren-A/C president, Itwa asked the CEO to look into this matter with the utmost seriousness as per the election conduct rules.
Meanwhile, another press release from NDPP media and communication committee called this conduct a serious breach of rules because the said official allegedly not only supported a candidate but used government resources to do so.
The NDPP demanded that the officer be suspended and a high level enquiry be set up.
They also said that the officer should be arrested and befitting punishment meted out to serve as an example for other officers.
