NDPP fetes Modi on assuming office

Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) has congratulated India’s 15th Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his council of ministers on taking the oath of office and secrecy administered by President of India Ram Nath Kovind at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi on Wednesday. 

NDPP media & communication cell in the release said the party joined the nation in celebrating the huge mandate given by the people of India to the Modi government for the second consecutive time. 

As an alliance partner of the NDA and NEDA, it said the NDPP-led PDA government in Nagaland looked forward to the world’s largest democracy evolving into a recognized power in the international arena under the dynamic leadership of the Prime Minister on the foundation of a “secular, democratic, republic” which made India a great nation. 

NDPP reaffirmed the fullest cooperation from NDPP and the PDA government in striving towards “our common goals of nation building and improving the welfare of the people”. 

The ruling alliance also assured Modi of its total support towards “ realising genuine peace through a political solution that is honourable and acceptable to the people.” NDPP prayed to God to bless the new government under the leadership of Modi with wisdom in leading India.
