NDPP fetes state govt for successful Hornbill Festival

Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) has congratulated the state government and the people of Nagaland for successfully hosting and organizing the 24th edition of the Hornbill Festival 2023.


NDPP through its media and communication committee stated that the Hornbill Festival 2023 saw a record turnout of more than two thousand foreign tourist and close to one lakh fifty thousand domestic tourist. The party said the huge attraction that the festival garnered and the success of the festival was because of the dedicated efforts of the entire state led by chief minister Neiphiu Rio.


Apart from the visiting tourists, it maintained that attendance of a number of Ambassadors, High Commissioners, Consul Generals and host of high-profile guests spoke volumes of how the festival has impacted people nationally and internationally.


NDPP also commended the chief minister and the state government for successfully partnering and collaborating with countries like the United States of America, Columbia, Germany and South Korea, which it said was another historic milestone for Nagaland.


The ruling party said it was also a proud achievement for the state to host many business meets and round table meets on investment, which gave a huge opportunity for entrepreneurs of the State to interact and share experiences with investors from across the globe.


Further, NDPP expressed appreciation and gratitude to all the tribes and their respective cultural troupes for their participation. It said thar the Hornbill Festival would never have achieved its recognition and glamour without the colourful, vibrant and beautiful showcase of Naga heritage that has been so successfully portrayed and exhibited by all the tribes of the State.


The party thanked all the people of Nagaland for being “wonderful hosts” to all the guests and visitors. Meanwhile, the NDPP rank and file has wished everyone a blessed Christmas with the message of “peace, joy, love and goodwill towards all”.
