NDPP Dimapur II A/C and NDPP 26 Aonglenden A/C functionaries held a joint meeting on November 7, where the house deliberated on the by-election necessitated by the demise of NDPP legislator and advisor, Imtikumzuk Longkumer. During the meeting, both the sides opined that a capable and dynamic candidate should be sent to represent the 26 Aonglenden A/C, NDPP Dimapur-II A/C president R. Sanen Longkumer stated in a press note. The members also paid tributes to the departed leader.
The functionaries also resolved to further strengthen the party under the leadership of chief minister Neiphiu Rio and president Chingwang Konyak.
