Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) 5 Ghaspani-II assembly constituency (A/C) held its annual executive meet on October 29 at the residence of advisor, sericulture, excise & minority affairs, Zhaleo Rio.
In a press release, media secretary Thejangukho Yalietsu informed that the meeting deliberated various issues and suggestions tabled by party workers and leaders where a number of resolutions were adopted by the house. Zhaleo Rio advised party workers to strive unitedly for peace, prosperity and development.
Others who spoke at the meeting included NDPP Central senior vice-president, Charlie Sekhose, NDPP founding member Kaka Zhimomi, core committee member Miathou Krose, NDPP 5 Ghaspani-II A/C president Dosau Kuotsu and a host of regional and central party leaders.
The house reaffirmed its support for Zhaleo Rio in the next election.
Other agendas discussed by the house included the importance of party membership and enrolment, significance of grassroot workers and the need to develop coordination for their uplift, developments that has been accomplished, etc.
Earlier, the house observed a minute silence in remembrance of party members who lost their lives during the pandemic.
The meeting was chaired by NDPP 5 Ghaspani-II A/C working president, Khekiho Zhimomi.
Longleng: NDPP 50 A/C Longleng region election committee convenor Metpong Phom and member H. Leisha Phom held a meeting on November 3 at the residence of the treasurer N. Yengcha Phom, Longleng Town.
In a press release, NDPP Longleng region informed that during the meeting, the central team highlighted about NDPP party activities and appealed party workers to stand firm and support the leadership of state chief minister Neiphiu Rio and NDPP president Chingwang Konyak.
The house unanimously constituted and elected 50 A/C unit office bearers headed by N. Emei Phom as president, Shaunyu Phom as women president, Jeitok Phom as youth president and its organisation 50 A/C assembly constituency level.
Earlier, 50 A/C Longleng president, N. Emei Phom delivered the welcome address while Longleng region president B. Hayu, advisor H. Tenchem and ex-candidate 50 A/C, Y.B. Angam Phom exhorted the party workers. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks from central team, H. Leisha Phom.
Altogether, 50 A/C unit office bearers and village level office bearers attended the meeting along with advisors and senior party leaders.
