The Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) Mon Region has declared its support for the recent political developments following the Central Executive Board (CEB) meeting held at the party headquarters in Kohima on Sept. 12. The meeting had welcomed the offer of the Naga Peoples’ Front (NPF), marking a significant moment in the state’s political landscape. In response, the NDPP Mon Region convened a series of consultative meetings to deliberate on the matter. A joint meeting with elected members from the region was held on September 3 at the official residence of Minister C. L. John in Kohima. This was followed by a detailed discussion on September 9 at the Region’s Office, involving office bearers from all frontal organizations. The final consultative meeting was held on October 7, where all office bearers of Mon Region and its frontal bodies unanimously resolved to extend full cooperation to the decision of the CEB to call for a General Convention of the NDPP.
