Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP), Okotso village unit held a meeting at its village unit office on January 22. The meeting was presided over by general secretary & convener, NDPP CEB team in-charge, NDPP Wokha Region, TL Merry. A press release by NDPP Pangti village unit, president, Khonsao Shitiri and NDPP Okotso village president, Nchumthung Ngullie stated that the party leaders and functionaries representing the area in general and Okotso village in particular deliberated and discussed NDPP party matters and the present scenario of the state.
It expressed appreciation to the PDA government under the leadership of chief minister, Neiphiu Rio. The meeting also appreciated and thanked MLA, 39th Sanis A/C. and advisor of Horticulture and Boarder Affairs, Mhathung Yanthan for his untiring efforts towards building various means of infrastructure in promoting and improving people’s livelihood at grassroots level.
During the meeting, the house adopted a two-point resolution wherein; the meeting resolved to unite and work in cohesion and invigorated spirit towards strengthening NDPP at respective village units, with priority focus on welcoming and enrolling every aspiring new members into NDPP party fold.
It also resolved to express whole hearted faith and confidence and extend unflinching support to the leadership of Neiphiu Rio, president NDPP & chairman PDA, Chingwang Konyak and all PDA legislators.
Earlier, Baptist Church, Okotso, senior associate Pastor, Tsungo Shitiri pronounced invocation upon the party functionaries and office of NDPP Okotso village unit. The meeting was attended by NDPP Pangti village unit president, GS, Nyimbemo Murry and others.
