Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) Peren region was launched on November 30 wherein the launching programme on November 30 at Jalukie town was attended by NDPP Nagaland, president, Chingwang Konyak and colleagues.
In a press release, NDPP media & communication committee informed that, Chingwang Konyak, in a keynote address, shed light on the confusion of NPF and NDPP. He urged the gathering to concentrate on strengthening NDPP adding that “technicalities” would be solved as when time comes.
NDPP secretary general, Abu Metha, pointed out that NDPP was “People’s Party” and that people from all over “Naga lands” were equal stake holders of the party.
He claimed that “autocracy, nepotism and VIP culture” would not be entertained or practiced by the party.
In his speech, NDPP, working president, Alemtemshi Jamir, thanked the people of Peren district for giving their best warriors – Neiba Ndang and Iherie Ndang – to NDPP “in the common fight against all aliments for a better Nagaland”.
Neiba Ndang and Iherie Ndang, both of whom recently joined NDPP from National political parties, NCP and Congress respectively, had a similar reason for joining NDPP and that being corruption at all levels by the present ruling government and therefore their hope came in the form of NDPP, stated the release.
NDPP office Peren region was inaugurated at Lungda Market Complex, Jalukie town with a prayer and cutting of ribbon by Chingwang Konyak.
The programme was chaired by NDPP Peren region, president, Zekuidi Zeliang while invocation was said by State Chaplin NLA, Rev. Kuzierang Thou.
