NDPP’s by-election rally conducted at Mitelephe

Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) undertook a by-election campaign rally for PDA’s consensus candidate, Medo Yhokha at Mitelephe village for the 14th Southern Angami-1 assembly constituency on October 30.

Speaking on the occasion, advisor of Fire & Emergency Services, SIRD, Relief & Rehabilitation, Phowang Konyak said the by-election will not determine the government since the party was already running the government. He encouraged the electorates to participate in the democratic process of election for all round development of the village and the constituency.

Having faith in Rio’s party leadership, he said the public needed to keep the confidence to vote for the NDPP candidate to strengthen the leadership of Rio government.

Vice-president of the NDPP, Menuovilie Kesiezie called upon the electorates to work for the ruling government by casting their vote in the favour and of strengthening the party. He also asked the gathering not to get carried away by the opposition propaganda and give support to the ruling government.

Earlier, welcome address was delivered by village chairman Vimerha Pike, invocation by BRC pastor Zachutuo Yietsu and vote of thanks was proposed by village head GB Khasudi Tepa.
