NDPP Wka region, CEB meet; support NUG

Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) Wokha region and Central Executive Board (CEB) team members held a consultative meeting on September 7 at Wokha town wherein the members supported formation of Nagaland United Government (NUG).

A press release by NDPP Wokha region stated that open discussion and agendas were deliberate during the meeting and the members adopted three-point resolution.

The members appreciated and welcomed the decision to form NUD and reaffirmed support for an early, honourable, acceptable and inclusive solution for the ongoing Naga political issue.

The members reiterated commitment to work towards strengthening the party at the grassroots in the assembly constituencies in Wokha district and also expressed confidence and support over the leadership of chief minister, Neiphiu Rio, NDPP president Chingwang Konyak and all NDDP legislators.

The meeting was addressed by NDPP general secretary and convener CEB, team in-charge, NDPP Wokha region T.L Merry; NDPP general secretary and CEB, Renbomo Kikon; NDPP secretary and CEB, Renpio Yanthan and NDPP secretary and CEB, Mhonthung Patton.

Earlier, a silent prayer was observed in remembrance of leaders and party workers of NDPP Nagaland who passed away.
