National Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) Wokha region inaugurated its office building at Wokha on April 8. The office building was inaugurated by NDPP Nagaland president, Chingwang Konyak.
A press release by NDPP Wokha stated that in his speech, Chingwang Konyak said that he retired from active political career but came back to serve the will of people with various political leaders of NDPP.
He urged all active party workers and members to streamline and play vital role in strengthening the party, starting from grassroots.
He mentioned that through the interest and initiative of chief minister Neiphiu Rio, NDPP party would soon have its regional office in the entire district.
In his speech, chief minister Neiphiu Rio stated that NDPP would continue to have seat-sharing, adjustment and alliance with BJP in the state.
The chief minister highlighted on how NDPP had become a brand that people now rushed to, to obtain NDPP ticket to contest in election.
He said that the PDA government, BJP and NDPP alliance was doing well and would continue to strengthen the relationship.
He added that NDPP would need to have working members in all assembly constituencies and reminded them that BJP and NDPP would work hand in hand and support one another with the alliance spirit.
With regards to Naga issue, Rio maintained that with the vision and interest, the opposition (NPF) and ruling government was moving together to bring permanent peace in Nagaland, adding that all must work, think together to bring permanent peace in Nagaland and by building a relationship to sort out differences and create a history.
Advisor, horticulture and border affairs, Mhathung Yanthan appreciated chief minister and maintained that that NDPP would continue winning election in the state and lead the government through the dynamic leadership of Rio and various senior political members of NDPP.
Yanthan also called upon party workers and members to have trust in the leadership of the chief minister and work as loyal party workers in fulfilling the dreams of Naga people.
NDPP secretary general, Abu Metha stated that NDPP reflected aspiration, desires and interest of Naga people.
He stated that they cannot grow in isolation and required partnership.
Earlier, NDPP party also laid a foundation stone for Tseminyu and later inaugurated the Wokha office.
