NDPP women’s wing pledges to boost participation

DIMAPUR

NDPP Central Women Organisation held its introduction-cum-orientation programme for the 2024–2027 tenure on June 25, reaffirming its commitment to strengthen women’s role in the state’s political landscape.
Speaking at the programme, NDPP women’s president Vikali A. Zhimomi thanked chief minister Dr. Neiphiu Rio, party president Chingwang Konyak, and secretary general Abu Metha for their support. She also welcomed the party’s decision to allot tickets to two women candidates, calling it a significant step toward inclusive politics.
The orientation encouraged members to remain active on social media to increase outreach and public engagement.
The organisation said it would work toward expanding its presence, encouraging greater participation, and contributing to the party’s people-centric mission.
