NE CMs and leaders mourn Ajit Pawar’s demise

Several chief ministers and leaders from North East expressed their sorrow and extended condolences to the family members of Ajit Pawar after he died in a plane crash in Baramati on Wednesday.
Deeply pained by Ajit Pawar’s death: Assam CM: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Wednesday condoled the death of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar in a plane crash, and said his contribution to the western state’s development left a lasting imprint.
“Deeply pained by the passing away of Ajit Pawar ji, the Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra in an unfortunate plane crash this morning. “A seasoned leader who devoted his life to public service and towards the welfare of people, his contributions to state’s development and governance have left a lasting imprint,” Sarma said in a post on X.
Pawar (66) and four others were killed after an aircraft carrying them crashed in Pune district on Wednesday morning, officials said.
“May he attain sadgati. Om Shanti,” Sarma added.
Arunachal CM, Dy CM mourn Ajit Pawar’s death in plane crash:
Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Wednesday condoled the death of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar in a plane crash.
Pawar (66) and four others were killed after an aircraft carrying them crashed near Baramati in Pune district on Wednesday morning. “We mourn the untimely demise of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Shri Ajit Pawar ji and the others who tragically lost their lives in the aircraft crash in Baramati, Pune district today,” Khandu said in social media post.
“Shri Ajit Pawar ji was a dedicated public servant whose contributions to the people of Maharashtra will long be remembered. In this moment of deep grief, my thoughts and prayers are with his family, loved ones, and all affected by this heartbreaking loss. May their souls attain Sadgati,” he said. Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein also expressed grief over the death of Pawar.
“Deeply shocked and saddened by the untimely passing of Hon’ble DyCM of Maharashtra, Shri Ajit Pawar ji. A true leader of the people, he was known for his strong grassroots connect, tireless work ethic, and deep understanding of administrative matters,” Mein said.
Ajit Pawar served Maharashtra people with unwavering commitment: Ex-Manipur CM N Biren Singh:
Former Manipur chief minister N Biren Singh expressed sorrow over the demise of Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar in a plane crash, and said he served the people of the western state with unwavering commitment.
Pawar and four others were killed after an aircraft carrying them crashed in Maharashtra’s Pune district on Wednesday morning. The accident occurred when the plane was landing in the Baramati area.
In a post on X, Singh said, “Deeply saddened by the tragic demise of Shri Ajit Pawar ji, Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, in a plane crash at Baramati.”
Singh also said Pawar was a “seasoned leader who served the people of Maharashtra with unwavering commitment and dedication”, and extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
Manipur BJP president Adhikarimayum Sharda Devi said the untimely demise of Pawar is a great loss to the nation.
Devi, in a post on X, said, “Deeply saddened by the passing of Shri Ajit Pawar ji. His untimely demise is a great loss to the nation and to the people of Maharashtra. My heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. May his soul rest in peace.”
Ajit Pawar left lasting imprint on Maharashtra politics: Gaurav Gogoi:
Congress leader Gaurav Gogoi on Wednesday condoled the demise of Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar and said he left a lasting imprint on the western state’s politics.
Pawar and four others were killed after an aircraft carrying them crashed in Maharashtra’s Pune district.
The accident occurred when the plane was landing in the Baramati area.
“Deeply saddened by the sudden passing of Ajit Pawar ji in the tragic plane crash at Baramati today. His years of public service and contribution to Maharashtra have left a lasting imprint on the state’s political life,” Gogoi, the deputy leader of Congress in the Lok Sabha, said in a post on X.
“My heartfelt condolences to his family, and to all his friends, colleagues, and followers,” he added.
The Assam Congress president also said that it is important to conduct a proper and transparent investigation into the accident in the public interest.
Sikkim Gov, CM condole death of Ajit Pawar in plane crash in Maharashtra:
Sikkim Governor Om Prakash Mathur and Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang on Wednesday expressed grief over the death Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar in a plane crash.
Pawar and four others were killed after an aircraft carrying them crashed near Baramati in Maharashtra’s Pune on Wednesday morning. In a post on Facebook, Mathur said, “Shri Ajit Pawar’s untimely demise in a plane crash is very sad. My condolences to the Pawar family. Om Shanti.”
The chief minister said he was shocked and saddened by Pawar’s demise.
“His departure is a tremendous loss to the people of Maharashtra and to all who knew and respected him,” he said. Tamang offered his condolences to the Pawar family and his supporters. “May his legacy of service and leadership be remembered always,” Tamang added.
