Nagaland Governor, PB Acharya, has said that North East region was an integral part of India and opined that it was the responsibility of the mainland people to visit the region and experience the culture, tradition, living style, food habits etc.
Speaking as chief guest at a programme on “Students’ Experience in Inter-State Living” held under the theme “Knowing North East– Knowing India” at Baba Farid Institute of Technology (BFIT), Dehradun on October 31, Acharya said that very few people know the culture, traditions and problems faced by the people of North East.
He personally invited JS Arora, Chairman of BFIT Group of Institutions, to visit Nagaland and open a branch of their Institute in Nagaland for the benefit of the students.
