NE regional dental conference begins

Two-day10th North East Regional Dental conference-cum-15th IDA Nagaland state annual conference under the theme “precision and excellence for optimal health care” got underway on Wednesday at Capital Convention Centre, Kohima with additional chief secretary and finance commissioner, Temjen Toy as the chief guest.
Addressing the gathering, Temjen urged the gathering to make best use of the conference and enhance their knowledge and give boost to the North East dentists.  He encouraged the dentist of the region to make the north east a hub for dental service attracting people from different parts of the country. 
Convener NE coordination committee, Dr. J. Barman, said India Dental Association was closely working with the world dental federation (FDI) the commonwealth dental association, International association of dental research and other such bodies to enhance its visibility and promote collaborative ventures. 
He said co-ordination committee was constituted for the north east in order to have good association and friendly contact amongst the dental professionals of the region. The programme was chaired by chairman NE coordination committee, Dr. B.R. Bhuyan, welcome address was delivered by chairman organizing committee, Dr. N. Savino, special song presented by Dr. Meyisen Angh, vote of thanks was proposed by organizing secretary, Dr. Imtiwabang Pongener. The chief guest also released the conference souvenir,
Earlier, commissioner and secretary health and family welfare Nagaland, R. Ramakhrishnan, inaugurated the trade fair. The conference was attended by Dental doctors from 8 North East states.
