NECU informs consumers on electrification works

Nagaland Electrical Contractors’ Union (NECU) has informed that some departments were issuing work order for electrification works without even getting the technical sanctions/estimates approved by the department of power which alone was the competent authority in the state.
In this regard, NECU in a press note by president Kevichulie Chadi and general secretary, Shikato Rotokha reminded the government department and the consumers of its earlier resolutions that under no circumstances outsider, unauthorized party/individual would be allowed to undertake any electrical installation work in the state of Nagaland.
NECU appealed the government authority and consumers to abide by the Indian Electricity Rules and Act, govt. standing orders and power department notifications so that any unwanted consequences/misunderstanding between consumers, govt. agencies and the union could be avoided in future.
