DIMAPUR: The Faculty of Nursing, North East Christian University (NECU), Dimapur hosted a two day National Online Seminar on “Immunization Excellence” from June 29 to 30, equipping 293 healthcare and nursing delegates with critical field skills.
Organised by Dr. Athuo Saziini, Kapuw Kaini, Apao Hravine Neha and Yhunsinle Tep, the intensive virtual summit featured expert led sessions on immunology basics, national and global schedules, cold chain management, handling adverse events and addressing patient hesitancy.
Resource experts including Dr. Seyie Rutsa, Prof. Deena E, Prof. L. Lidziisa Mao and Khangembam Subita Chanu upskilled participants through digital video modules on advanced injection techniques, evidence based myth busting and patient centred communication to counter vaccine hesitancy. Interactive tools such as “Kahoot” were utilised to enhance engagement, while the programme concluded with a rigorous post test evaluation. Successful participants received professional e certificates, advancing regional public health preparedness.
