NSCN (I-M) has urged Naga people to be proactive in identifying “who is who in the Naga political matter” in this critical period of Naga political talks.
NSCN (I-M), through its MIP, said people should identify who were the agents that were working for the interests not linked to bringing an honourable Naga solution that was acceptable to both the Nagas and the Central government. It alleged that imposters speaking the deceptive language of Naga accord/solution had no respect for national identity of Nagas and were only digging the roads leading to the Naga solution under Indian constitution.
It also insisted that the Naga Plebiscite of 1951 that overwhelmingly voted for Naga sovereign identity must not be separated from the final Naga solution.
Reacting to a report published in a Guwahati-based new daily quoting Working Committee, NNPGs convener N Kitovi Zhimomi that the new accord with Government of India should offer a “win-win situation for all” and that “the rule of law must be upheld”, NSCN (I-M) asked whether he really knew what he was speaking about when he said “the rule of law must be respected”. Alleging that when Kitovi had already sold out the Naga issue by accepting Indian constitution, NSCN (I-M) asked him where did his win-win solution stand.
It also accused him of “re-editing the 16 Point Agreement” in the form of “Agreed Position in his surrender formulae for the Naga solution”. NSCN (I-M) said he could fool his own group that was being misled, but would not be able to fool the Nagas who were politically more sensitive and guarded in defending the God’s given Naga nation.
“Only the fools and traitors will speak such a language. Only the government agent and imposter will speak such a treacherous language,” it alleged.
According to NSCN (I-M), the recent statement of the WC, NNPG convener and Dr SC Jamir sounded more romantic as their imperturbable equanimity and their inherent bonhomie kept them together with India in reflecting their political connexions that propagated India’s interests, though it was utterly nonsensical to the Nagas. It termed the duo as “political wreck to the Nagas”.
NSCN (I-M) said Jamir continued to kick against stone to keep alive his eternal fight to defend his brainchild 16-Point Agreement. And when the Naga people refused to toe his line of defence, NSCN (I-M) said Jamir used to say in the 1990s “there is famine of truth because of fear”.
Now, in the beginning of 2022, NSCN (I-M) said Jamir was exposing his sick mind again by stating “Nagas are living under fear and denial mode”. This was as good as saying that the 16-Point Agreement never solved the Naga problem, it added.
NSCN (I-M) said Jamir simply refused to accept that the Nagas were living under fear and denial because he had created the 16-Point Agreement against the will of the Nagas. He had been attempting to suppress the Nagas all through by applying the draconian laws causing endless flow of blood and loss of lives, NSCN (I-M) alleged.
Need to identify who is who in Naga political matter, says NSCN (I-M)
