NEET issue: HASSU threatens NH-29 bandh

Reiterating its demand for cancellation of the names of three candidates from the merit list of the recently conducted NEET exam, Highway Area Sumi Students’ Union (HASSU) has threatened that state government’s failure to come up with logical conclusion would force the union to impose indefinite bandh within its jurisdiction (NH-29).
In a press note, HASSU president, Kughato Achumi, and education & statistical secretary, Nikaho K Kiba, stated that despite repeated appeals, the government was reluctant to cancel the names of the three candidates hailing from Manipur–  R. Jackson Chawang, N Mathiuniung Flory and K Leah. This “clearly depicts the intense corruption and manipulation going on in the concern departments and on the part of state government,” it added.
