It’s been more than a decade since the big Naga peace deal was inked back in 2015, but Nagas waits for it to actually happen. The promises made to the Naga people haven’t been kept by either the government in Delhi or the state leaders here, and that’s leaving everyone frustrated.
A decade has passed without real delivery on the Agreement. This isn’t just some old paper; it’s about ending delays that affect daily life.
The Naga people look forward on this for calm after tough times, but the hold-up means questions keep piling up with no clear answers from those in charge. The wait is hurting more than talks. Without this deal moving forward, peace feels out of reach, jobs are hard to find, and growth stalls. Villages far off or with rough histories get left behind even more.
Leaders point out that development and a safe future for all should not depend on distance or background, everyone deserves that shot at stability.
No matter the reasons, be it from New Delhi or the Nagaland government, the message is simple; this cannot drag on another day.
It must be put into action swiftly, with firm steps that bring lasting change. Delays only breed more problems, and people are saying enough is enough. Shoutout to different organisations, for sharing one platform on this issues .
A prominent leader once said, “We are here because we want peace. We are united because we want a solution.” They emphasize clear talks and real peace through that teamwork. Recent moves, by the government of Nagaland show things are stirring again.
Nagas must come together stronger, hopeful that our shared voice will finally push the deal over the line for a brighter tomorrow with pride, security, and real advancement for the communities.
