
Minister for Planning & Coordination, Land Revenue and Parliamentary Affairs Nagaland, Neiba Kronu called upon his constituency people for active participation in taking the constituency towards progress and development. He reiterated his commitment and determination to develop Pfutsero constituency into a model constituency in the state by creating infrastructure such as road connectivity, sports facilities, Agri-link roads to ease the burden of farmers and promotion of tourism.
Minister said this during inauguration of multi-purpose hall at Lekromi village under Pfutsero sub-division Phek district as guest speaker on Monday. Addressing the gathering also attended by the village community leaders, Kronu spoke on the importance of physical development through sports for a healthy society.
He appreciated the Lekromi village for extensive plantation of large cardamom and organic vegetables.
He informed the villagers on “Fruit Trees for Wealth” project launched recently by the Entrepreneur Associates Nagaland and urged the people to make best use of fruit tree saplings which will be made available soon.
Kronu urged the people to utilize available village land for coffee plantation while sharing his view about the prospect and scope of coffee plantation in Nagaland.
He also called on the people to intensify its efforts towards bio-diversity conservation as our lives are dependent on them.
Programme was led by chairman Lekromi Village Council Kewete Mero, executive secretary CBCC Rev. Khrotso Mero invoked God’s blessings, Kedulhinyi Mero head GB of the village proposed vote of thanks and Rev. Dr. Kedungulo Mero pronounced the closing prayer.
