Neitho FC emerge champions at CSU penalty shootout

DIMAPUR, AUG 5 (NPN): Neitho FC clinched the championship title at the Chakhroma Students’ Union (CSU) Penalty Shootout Programme held on Wednesday at the Medziphema local ground. The event, organized under the theme “One Shot, One Chance, One Goal”, brought together football teams, students, youth and well-wishers in a vibrant display of sportsmanship and unity.
Neitho FC emerged as the Champion after a competitive series of penalty shootouts while team Viphrü secured the runners-up position. Best keeper award was presented to Neithovilie Chalieu of Neitho FC for his outstanding goalkeeping performance.
Special guest president of the Angami Students’ Union (ASU), Diezevisie Nakhro, emphasized the importance of unity and cooperation among the Chakhroma units. He urged the youth to strengthen bonds, foster mutual respect and work collectively for the welfare and progress of the community.
The programme was chaired by treasurer CSU, Vikedolie Miasalhou; invocation was offered by president, Medziphema Pastors Fellowship, Rev. Razouneizo Chalieu; welcome address by president CSU, Menokhrilie Chalieu; special song by Dzüvichüno Shüya and vote of thanks by Games & Sports Secretary CSU, Zhovi Salie.
The raffle draw winners were: 1st prize (Sl. No. 782) — Megophilie Noel; 2nd prize (Sl. No. 630) — Riizaphema Students’ Union; 3rd prize (Sl. No. 7) — Khruto.
Consolation prizes — Neikholie (Sl. No. 51), Shiirhosül Zhotso (Sl. No. 990), Awalo Semy (Sl. No. 365), Asang (Sl. No. 61), Ruokuobeinuo (Sl. No. 643).
