New building of Xuvihe Sub-Centre inaugurated

DIMAPUR

The newly built Xuvihe Sub-Centre, funded under the 15th Finance Commission, was inaugurated on June 2 by Chief Medical Officer Dr. T. Temsu Lkr, alongside DMC Dimapur CEO, Thungchanbemo Tungoe.
In his speech, Dr. Temsu thanked the Urban Development department, DMC, and Xuvihe Council members for their support in making the project a reality. He also mentioned that the Sub-Centre would receive additional funding under the 16th Finance Commission for essential medical supplies and upkeep.
CEO Thungchanbemo explained that the 15th Finance Commission funds were originally designated for repairs. However, since the Sub-Centre was operating from a rented commercial space, constructing a proper facility became necessary. The new building now includes two rooms and toilets. He also praised the Xuvihe Council for their wise decision to use the funds where they were needed most.
The event was chaired by Xuvihe Council Chairman Bokato Wotsa, with a dedication prayer by Dimapur Sumi Baptist Church Pastor Sekento and a closing prayer by Xuvihe Council Banker Ilhovi Wotsa.
Other attendees included DTO Dimapur Dr. Benchilo Ngullie, DPO UIP/RCH Dr. Rongsennungla, GB Xuvihe Ikato Zhimomi, Xuvihe Health Committee Chairman Honito Zhimomi, staff from the CMO Dimapur office and Xuvihe Sub-Centre, as well as Xuvihe Council members.
