New diagnostic facility inaugurated in Dimapur

Dr. Lal PathLabs, a leading name in diagnostic services, has expanded its presence in Dimapur with the inauguration of a new facility at ENR Health, Diagnostic Lab Clinic & Pharmacy, HT Square Building, Tajen Ao Road, Notun Bosti, on Monday.


The event was graced by advisor to Chief Minister Dr. Chumben Murry as chief guest, with CEO Dr. Shankar Banerjee and COO Jai Prakash Meena of Dr. Lal PathLabs as guest of honour and distinguished guest respectively.


From its humble beginnings 75 years ago with a single lab in Delhi, Dr. Lal PathLabs has grown into a network of nearly 300 laboratories across India, with international operations in Bangladesh and Nepal. The company also processes high-end diagnostic samples from over 25 countries at its National Reference Lab in Delhi.


Lal PathLabs remains committed to quality and accuracy, boasting a patented system for centralized quality monitoring across its labs. It offers an extensive test menu of nearly 5,000 tests, including specialized diagnostics for complex cases. The company continually innovates, adding approximately 70 new tests annually to align with medical advancements.


As part of its expansion strategy, Lal PathLabs aims to open 15 new labs each year. Its presence in the Northeast is steadily growing, with operations in Guwahati, Shillong, Aizawl, Agartala, and now Dimapur. This move strengthens healthcare accessibility in the region, offering world-class diagnostic services to local populations.


Dr. Chumben Murry highlighted the rapid growth of the healthcare sector, emphasizing the lab’s role in enhancing diagnostic capabilities with cutting-edge technology. He also acknowledged the state’s ongoing healthcare advancements, including the establishment of its first medical college and plans for dental and nursing institutions.


CEO Dr. Lal PathLabs Shankar Banerjee reaffirmed the company’s long-term commitment to the region, stating, “Over the last decade, we have seen incredible progress, and we are dedicated to bringing world-class diagnostic services closer to the people of Dimapur and beyond.”


Earlier, the programme was chaired by Noune Sale, invocation by pastor, Covenant Baptist church, Dimapur Yabang Longkumer, partener and chief of Lab, ENR health Nagaland Dr. Neiphreno Sale Odyuo welcomed the gatherings, short speech was also delivered by COO Jai Prakash Meena and cultural song presentation by Ulikhrei folk group, Chedema village, Kohima.
