New Government Primary School (GPS) at L Yanthung under EBRC, Wokha, was inaugurated on January 10 with A Zanbemo Ngullie, Joint Director of Urban Development Department, Kohima, as the chief guest.
Speaking on the occasion, chief guest urged the gathering for good number of school goers and at the same time for community co-operation towards the school for better functioning as the department had generously constructed the school building by investing a huge amount.
ADC, SSA (DMA) Wokha and Ekyimo Odyuo, Project Assistant, SSA (DMA) Wokha also spoke during the programme.
Brief report on constructional work was presented by Yanpothung Lapon, chairman VEC L Yanthung.
The school was funded and constructed under SSA flagship programme during 2012 – 13.
