New health sub-centre inaugurated in Tuensang

A new health sub-centre at Old Chingmei village, Noklak block Tuensang was inaugurated by chief medical officer (CMO) Tuensang, Dr. Moatemjen on November 28.

A press release by DMO Tuensang, Apheang stated that, Dr. Moatemjen asked the community to take ownership of the health centre, as community participation was essential in ensuring that people were provided with quality health care system. 

Dr. Moatemjen also mentioned that the health sub-centre would be providing basic health and requested the community to extend help and work together with the health staff, so the sub-centre could function smoothly for the people. Dr. Moatemjen further encouraged the community to protect themselves and others from COVID-19 by following advice provided by health authority.

Earlier, programme was chaired by VCC C. Chuba, invocation prayer by APW Alem, short speech was given by Hd. GB Sangbou and benediction by B. Beshang, pastor Old Chingmei village. Others present at the inaugural were Dr. Yanrenthung gynaecologist (SMO) District Hospital, Dr. Imlong MO thermology District Hospital, CHO New Chingmei H & WC, ANM (NHM) Old Chingmei new sub-centre, church leaders and village council members of Old Chingmei village.
