DIMAPUR, MAY 22 (NPN): The new Honda City was launched on Friday at Ayida Honda, Dimapur, with prices starting from Rs 11.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
The vehicle was officially launched by branch manager, Bank of Baroda, Yapang Walling, who attended the event as the special guest.
Speaking at the programme, Walling highlighted the financial support and vehicle loan facilities offered by the bank for customers interested in purchasing the new sedan.
Presenting the features of the new model, sales team leader Vekhruzo Shijoh said the grand concept of the new City is “Sharpen”, aimed at delivering pride of ownership and next-level driving pleasure through a blend of sportiness and advanced sophistication.
He informed that the sedan measures 4,594 mm in length, making it one of the longest in its segment and giving it a sharper aerodynamic silhouette. The updated exterior features a redesigned front fascia with Blade Eye Signature LED lighting system, Bi-LED projector headlamps, integrated split LED DRLs with turn signals, a connected centre light bar, aerodynamic bumper with air curtain, and a new Matrix-Mesh black-painted grille.
The rear design includes Signature Z-Edge wraparound LED tail lamps, a Matrix-Mesh lower bumper garnish, and a sporty trunk lip spoiler. The sedan also comes with new R16 dual-tone Aero Blade diamond-cut alloy wheels and will be available in six colour options, including the newly introduced “Crystal Black Pearl”.
Inside, the sedan features ivory and black dual-tone interiors, a 25.6 cm floating touchscreen infotainment display with wireless smartphone connectivity, ambient lighting, ventilated front seats, USB-C charging ports, and a 360-degree multi-view camera.
On safety, the new Honda City is equipped with Honda SENSING Intelligent ADAS technology, including Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS), Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist System (LKAS), Road Departure Mitigation System, Auto High-Beam, and Lead Car Departure Notification System.
The sedan is available with two powertrain options — Honda’s self-charging two-motor strong hybrid e:HEV system and a 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine paired with either a 6-speed manual transmission or 7-speed CVT.
According to the company, the hybrid variant delivers a fuel efficiency of 27.26 km/l, while the petrol variants offer up to 17.97 km/l.
The City Petrol is available in SV, V, ZX and ZX+ grades, while the Citye: HEV comes in the ZX+ grade.
Honda is also offering a three-year unlimited kilometre standard warranty, extendable up to seven years, along with additional warranty packages for the hybrid battery and system components. The programme was chaired by sales manager Mughasheto Achumi.
