A meeting was held on June 28 at the office chamber of the addl. deputy commissioner, Mokokchung, where freight rates of Mokokchung to Longtho, Mariani, Jorhat and Amguri was discussed. According to DIPR, the freight rates which were earlier fixed in 2016 was revised and shall come into effect from July 1. The revised freight rate will be as follows: i) Mokokchung to Longtho – 11,500; ii) Mokokchung to Mariani – 12,500; iii) Mokokchung to Amguri – 13,000; iv) Mokokchung to Jorhat via Mariani – 13,500; v) Mokokchung to Jorhat via Amguri – 17,000.
