New office building for Watsu, OCYU, Yimyu ward council

The newly constructed office building of Arok Kimen of Watsü, Ongpangkong Compound Youth Union (OCYU) and Yimyu Ward Council at Yimyu Ward, Mokokchung was inaugurated by chief engineer Water Resources Department, Er. Razouvolie Kelio on August 2.


In his address, Er. Razouvolie lauded the community for coming together to build an impressive community hall. The chief engineer, who had previously worked in Yimyu, fondly reminisced about the memories created and emphasized the value of “Arok” or “togetherness” that led to the successful completion of the hall.


He also acknowledged the contributions from the Watsü Mungdang (Women’s Organization), Ongpangkong Compound Youth Union (OCYU), and the Yimyu Ward council in bringing the project into reality.


The inauguration programme was chaired by council member, Lipoktoshi, Bible reading and prayer by Puryapang, pastor of Yimyu Ward. Short speeches were delivered by Watsu president, president of OCYU, Building Committee Convener, and chairman of Yimyu Ward Council.
The event concluded with a mass prayer, seeking blessings for the greater cause and successful utilization of the newly constructed community hall.
