A new organization under the name and style ‘Nagaland Transparency, Public Rights Advocacy and Direct Action Org’ was officially launched in Dimapur on May 31. In a press note, the organization said NTPRADAO was launched with the central idea of streamlining and acting as a “connecting hub and solid bridge” for the underprivilege, downtrodden and marginalise sections of Nagaland’s society.
It said that the organization has been established by hundreds of “similar thought process Nagaland citizens such as academicians/ scholars, social workers, professionals, retired Govt. officers and employees, unemployed youths (both educated & uneducated) and subject matter experts” to synchronise and activate a better and cleaner “socio-polico-economic existence in Nagaland”.
The organization said it shall endeavour to be a mainstream voice for all citizens of Nagaland irrespective of caste, creed, religion and sex etc. and raise voice against injustice. With its head office at Dimapur, NTPRADAO said its federating units will be spread all over Nagaland. NTPRADAO said the organization comprises of 32 state level office bearers and executive members, representing two each from all 16 districts.
The meeting unanimously elected Adv. MT Naga as president, Lichanbemo Yanthan as secy general, Thrijung Sangtam as gen. secy. (co-ordination & Public liaison), Zuchamo Patton as gen. secy. (Enquiry), Chenithung Tungoe as gen. secy. (Adm & Org), Phemching Konyak, Moa Ao, Ad.Toshika Sumi, Keduta Chakesang, Changsang Chang, Wiping Zeliang, Nokphak Konyak, Khetou Angami as secys along with 22 other executive members and Hayithung T. Lotha as chief advisor along with 15 other advisors from all 16 districts and advocate Lorin Rengma as legal advisor. The inaugural function was attended by Nagaland Chapter-All India Anti-corruption Org. president S. Richard and also member State Development Coordination & Monitoring) GoI representative Hayithung Bill Lotha special invitee.
