A new Transformer 63 KVA 11/0.4 KV has been installed successfully at Shorih Colony, Pungro town on October 3. Speaking at the dedication programme, SDO (Elect) Pungro, N. Rumphio Lotha, and JE (Elect) Daniel Yimchunger expressed happiness that the residents could now access electricity in the colony and further appealed to the general public to co-operate with the department in all necessary activities for smooth functioning of electricity.
They also encouraged the gathering to extend their help in future for any need that may arise from department especially, for clearance like tree branches, bamboos in the colony and maintenance of line, power sub-station, proper use of electricity and regular payment of bill.
A dedicatory prayer was invoked by pastor Pungro Town Baptist Church, Yimto.
The general public of Shorih Colony also expressed gratitude the power department officials, chief engineer T&R Kohima and EE ( E) Kiphire for their initiative and the execution of the work.
The colony members further assured the department of their full cooperation for any works in the days to come.
