A news X-Ray machine donated by Rotary Club Mumbai was commissioned and installed at District hospital Peren on January 27 with Directorate of Health & Family Welfare, Kohima principal director, Dr. Nandira Changkija as the chief guest.
Speaking on the occasion Dr. Nandira Changkija acknowledged all the staff for their sincere effort and encouraged them to serve the people sincerely.
Dr. Nandira also called upon all health workers for cooperation for success in all fields. She said that as grievances shared by the town ward chairman in regard to infrastructure, manpower and equipments in the hospital, matters would be put up to the higher authorities especially for the ultrasound machine. The Rotary Club Mumbai under the initiative of Governor of Nagaland P.B Acharya visited the District hospital on 2015.
The dedicatory prayer was said Pastor Ao Baptist Church, Peren, M. Yanger. Short speech was given by the town ward chairman and vote of thanks by senior specialist, DH Peren, Dr. Lhoukhovi.
