The newly elected MLAs- H. Tovihoto Ayemi (BJP), Kazheto Kinimi (BJP), Moatoshi Longkumer (NDPP) and Z. Nyusietho Nyuth (NDPP) held a thanksgiving services on Friday.
People’s participation need of the hour: Tovihoto
Tovihoto contested from 1 Dimapur I A/C and has been allotted advisor of Tribal Affairs and Election.
In his address, Tovihoto stressed on the need of people’s participation for a good governance, and pointed out that victory was for the people to serve them with conviction and commitment. He made this remark at the thanksgiving programme held at his residence, Thahekhu village.
Tovihoto exuded confidence that the leadership of prime minister Narendra Modi and state chief minister Neiphiu Rio will provide a reliable and stable government and take the state forwards with new ideas and innovation.
He therefore called upon the citizens of Nagaland to participate, cooperate and commit to work along with the government, inorder to see the changes.
He said all the five elected members under erstwhile Dimapur have good understanding and committed for peace, progress and development of the entire state, particularly Dimapur.
Tovihoto further said that ULB elections has been scheduled to hold soon and therefore urged the people to participate and elect the right leaders as strong urban local bodies was needed for greater development.
Earlier, the programme were chaired by president DUCCF Zasivikho Zakiesatuo, welcome address by 1 Dimapur 1 Mandal president L.R. Anthony Rongmei, special number by Livika Swu, thanksgiving prayer by senior pastor TVBC Rev. Dr. Yehevi Jimo, vote of thanks by H. Atokhe Aye and benediction by senior pastor DSBC, Rev. Vitoshe Swu.
Sort speeches were also delivered by chairman Sumi Council Dimapur Kuhoi Zhimo, president Hindu Community Dimapur ADV. Y.P. Gupta and president Naga Council Dimapur, Etsungmomo Kikon.
Kazheto Kinimi
Kazheto Kinim, who was elected unopposed from 31 Akuluto A/C and has been allotted advisor of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services expressed happiness on the allotment of the portfolio and assured to extend his best service for the welfare of the community and the public in general.
At the thanksgiving programme held at North Point Colony, Akuluto, Kazheto also thanked the assembly constituency for their support and cooperation and for winning the election as unopposed.
At the programme short speeches were delivered by former MLA, Khekaho Assumi; senior party leader Hosheto Awomi, VK Area GB Association president Kughaho Assumi, Akuluto Area GB Association president, Hotovi Chishi and GB Izheto Village, president, Iwoto.
The programme was chaired by 31 A/C BJP Mandal president Vikheho Achumi and invocation by Lumithsami Baptist Church, pastor Rev. Ghokuto Chishi.
Moatoshi assures to uphold promises
Advisor of Labor, Employment & Skill Development and Excise, Moatoshi Longkumer held a thanksgiving service on Friday, at Sakus Mission College Auditorium Hall.
Addressing the gathering, Moatoshi thanked God for the blessing and re-electing as a leader, and the people of 2 Dimapur-II for reposing their faith in him to lead them for the second time. He assured to uphold his promises and visions.
He also thanked Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and president, NDPP, Chingwang Konyak, for awarding him the prestigious NDPP ticket and all support throughout the election campaign, and to all civil societies, organizations, Churches and individuals for their help and prayer.
Moatoshi also thanked Supu Jamir for his sacrifice, adding that today’s victory would not have been possible without him.
Meanwhile, Supu Jamir in his short speech congratulated Moatoshi on being elected for the second tenure.
On the Urban Local Body (ULB) election to be held, Supu maintained that unless elections were held, much development could not be achieved but appealed to the state government to check the “sickness” in the Municipal Act, so that elections could be held peacefully. Supu also appealed the state government to look into the report of JIC on ULB.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by Kerei Pfukha, invocation by Rev Dr Wati Longkumer and welcome speech by president, NDPP 2 Dimapur II AC, Limawati Imchen.
Short speeches were also delivered by chairman, Indisen Village Council, Imsutoshi Tzudir, executive member, Dimapurn Longpa Senso Telongjem, Bendang, president, NDPP Dimapur region, Vihoshe Awomi, and vice president, Ao Senso Telongjem Dimapur, Imtisangba Aier.
A special number was also presented by Tiameren Aier, and vote of thanks by Hito Aye.
Z. Nyusietho Nyuthe
Advisor, New & Renewable Energy, NSDMA, Z. Nyusietho Nyuthe expressed gratitude to chief minister Neiphiu Rio and NDPP president for allotting the party ticket and the portfolio.’
Speaking at the programme held at Meluri local ground, the advisor thanked the administration, police, polling officials, government officials for the smooth and fair conduct of the election following all the rules and norms of the ECI.
He expressed gratitude to all the electorates and reiterated to stand on his election campaign. Short speeches were delivered by VCC Meluri Tsirhütho, ex-MLA Chekhutso, former Pochury Hoho President, Chulekhu and NDPP 20th A/C Women Organisation, president, Thoza.
Special song and folk tune were presented by Khrutachu and Women folks respectively.
Earlier, welcome address was delivered by Chili Thurr, working president, 20th A/C and vote of thanks by Virhosie Mizu, general secretary, NDPP 20th A/C.
