NEZCC invites entries for ‘Young Talent Artistes Award’

DIMAPUR

The North East Zone Cultural Centre (NEZCC), under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, Dimapur, has invited applications for the “Young Talent Artistes Award” for the years 2023–24, 2024–25, and 2025–26.
According to a notification issued by the department, the award seeks to honour outstanding individuals in diverse categories including folk and tribal music, song and dance, theatre, drama, mime, painting, woodcraft, cane and bamboo crafts, traditional handloom and handicrafts, pottery, and related fields.
Eligible applicants must be between 18 to 30 years of age as on March 31, 2023, and must be Indian citizens indigenous to the eight North Eastern States: Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, and Tripura. Candidates who have previously received similar awards (State/National) in the same category are not eligible to apply. The award carries a cash prize of Rs. 20,000, a citation, and a memento.
Interested artistes and artisans may collect application forms from the Directorate of Art & Culture/Cultural Affairs of their respective state governments, Shilpgram Panjabari (Guwahati), or the NEZCC Head Office in Dimapur. Forms will also be available online at https://nezccdimapur.org.in/Home/Advertisement.
The screening process will be conducted by the respective State Departments, and applications from shortlisted candidates must reach the NEZCC office by August 15.
