NFHRCC appeals public not to use Doyang bridge

In view of the ongoing rectification work of Doyang bridge at Governor’s Camp, Liphanyan, the Nagaland Foothill Road Coordination Committee (NFHRCC) has appealed to the public particularly those living in the vicinity not to use the bridge that has been completely closed till December 20, 2023.


In a press release, NFHRCC convenor Supu Jamir and assistant general secretary Chenithung Humtsoe also informed the travellers from other districts planning to use the Doyang bridge to take note of the restriction.


The committee stated that use of light vehicles could be considered on technical advice from the concerned department in view of the Christmas season.


However, it stated that use of heavy vehicle would be completely stopped at least for another 45 days till the rectification works including the wing walls were completed.


NFHRCC has endorsed RALH and YAPO to ensure complete adherence of the travel advisory till such time that the whole rectifications was complete and fit to allow heavy vehicles to ply.
