NFHRCC calls for revamping members

Nagaland Foothills Road Coordination Committee (NFHRCC) Saturday expressed concerned over non-participation of some members and for which it has appealed to the apex tribal bodies “to revamp and reactivate the redundant representatives.”

In a joint statement, NFHRC convenor Supu Jamir, general secretary W. Lemba Chang and secretary Chenithung Humtsoe said non participation of members have created communication gap, which was also unhealthy for the success of the historic people’s project. Further, NFHRCC during its emergency meeting held on May 25 also acknowledged Zeliang People’s Organisation (ZPO) for the “No Objection Certificate” in order to provide free land without any compensation for the historic project in Peren district.
While thanking chief minister Nephiu Rio for upgrading the foothill road to that of a two lane expressway under MoRTH, NFHRCC urged that the construction work should start at the earliest.
It also thanked the contractor of the Doyang Bridge at Governor’s camp, Liphanyan for continuing the construction of the bridge as agreed upon and further urge the firm to complete it by the year end.
