NFHRCC commences work on 2nd bridge

The Nagaland Foothill Road Coordination Committee (NFHRCC) began construction of the second double-lane galvanised steel bridge over Jungju river at Hayiyan-Liphi village in Baghty sector under Bhandari sub-division on Friday with a simple prayer programme.
The project is to be executed by Quinker Enterprises at a cost of Rs 2.04 crore as per PWD (R&B) work order and completed within a period of 11 months.
Works on the remaining allocated works by those who had already signed an implementing agreement with the NFHRCC are expected to commence at the earliest time possible.
The committee also urged seven firms/contractors who are yet to sign the implementing agreement to do so within the stipulated timeframe of on or before January 20, 2025. These seven firms/contractors are M/s Yanna Enterprises (Naganimora division), M/s Pongshi Phom & Sons (Longleng division), M/s Shangpoh Konyak (Mon/Tizit division), M/s Onkho Construction & Supplier (Mon/Tizit division), M/S Ren Kik_E.Z,J& Co (Baghty division), M/s JK Constructions (Baghty division), and M/s Chabou & Co (Baghty division). This was stated in a statement by NFHRCC convener Supu Jamir, general secretary W Lemba Chang, co-convener Hokiye Yepthomi, and assistant general secretary Chenithung Humtsoe.
